Strong working relationships at VCH

After such a challenging year in 2021 with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are so happy to be back working in partnership with the Medical, Paediatric and Emergency departments at Vila Central Hospital.

Over the last five years of working with the Medical and Paediatric departments we have formed an excellent working partnership. This enables us to reliably provide much needed equipment that would otherwise be impossible for these departments to access.

We often provide similar equipment each year, not just because it works, but because it is needed. Every oxygen mask, glucometer and otoscope means that another patient can be assessed and treated accurately. We believe in providing new equipment that would be acceptable in any hospital in Australia. We also commit to providing ongoing consumable items. After all, a shiny new ECG machine isn’t much good without the sticky dots to use it!

We are so excited to be working towards the next shipment, full of a whopping AUD40,000 worth of medical equipment for the Medical and Paediatric departments.

As always, if you would like to support us financially, please head to our website and follow the prompts. $285 is enough for an otoscope and an ophthalmoscope, $102.50 provides 50 oxygen masks, and $34 pays for a single glucometer.

The equipment we sent in our last crate shipment is “already unpacked and ready for use in our ward,” according to Dr. Sereana Natuman, Head of Medical Department at VCH.
