in NEWS: Foundation

Long time advocate for the Pacific region, Shadow Minister for Defence and Federal Member for Corio Richard Marles MP recently accepted our invitation to become a Patron of The Melanie Jewson Foundation. Richard launched the Foundation back in 2012 and has kept a keen eye on our activities over the last six years. Richard has spent a number of years working with the people of the Pacific, especially in his previous role as Parliamentary Secretary for Pacific Island Affairs. Passionate about the advancement of the Pacific and Australia’s ethical and political responsibilities in the region, Richard brings to the MJF his expertise, vision and great sensibility.

We are incredibly fortunate to have him in our corner.

I am honoured to be a Patron of The Melanie Jewson Foundation. As in the past, I look forward to continuing my advocacy for the Foundation and l’m pleased to assist in advancing the extraordinary work that the Foundation does. I look forward to sharing in the many achievements of the Foundation and contributing to the work that is making a difference to the people of Vanuatu.
