We invite you to join us this autumn for Stories From Vanuatu — a gathering of Melanie Jewson Foundation supporters, both long-time friends and those just beginning their journey with us. It’s a chance to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the heart of what we do.

We’ll begin by sharing a brief but meaningful milestone in our journey: the Australian Council For International Development (ACFID) accreditation process. It’s a step that speaks to accountability, transparency, and a deep commitment to doing this work well. From there, the room will open up — time to mingle, to meet one another, to put faces to names and stories to shared purpose.

Then we’ll return to what sits at the centre of it all: people.

Dr. Ashlee Jewson will share reflections from her time in Vanuatu over the last decade — glimpses of resilience, connection, and care. Not just one story, but many — woven together from her experience on the ground.

Throughout the afternoon, there will be a thread of gratitude. A chance to acknowledge you — the community that makes this work possible. Because behind every story shared is a network of support that stretches far beyond a single place or moment.

And as we look ahead, we’ll begin to share what’s next. The hopes, the plans, and the possibilities that lie in front of us — and how you are part of that future too.

This is not a formal event. It’s a gathering. A celebration. A moment to sit together, share a meal, and be reminded that change happens not just through action, but through connection.
