ABC TV’s Gardening Australia visited Bannockburn in April last year to film a segment for the program, after learning about the Jewson garden through the MJF’s Open Gardens Open Hearts event in 2023. Keen to share the story, the team set out to capture Gary and Libby’s beautiful garden — and their much-loved quinces.

“We were thrilled and honoured to be contacted by Millie Ross and the Gardening Australia team,” Gary and Libby said. “Millie and the crew helped us and our friends relax and enjoy a truly memorable day.”

They spent the day showing Millie and the crew through their sprawling garden and quince orchard, while also sharing more about their involvement with the foundation and their small start-up, the sparkling juice brand Quincey Fizz.

On air since 1990, Gardening Australia is one of the country’s premier gardening programs, reaching more than 600,000 viewers each week. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity and hope the segment helps shine a light on the foundation’s work.
