This year we farewell three directors of our board who have supported the MJF not only since it began, but also in the years after the loss of Melanie as the idea and the initiative for the foundation developed.

We are deeply grateful for the work and contribution of these selfless individuals – Marian Wilson, Andrew Dunbabin and John Donoghue. Marian and Andrew are both founding board members, serving since 2011, and have shepherded the finances of the foundation since that time with care and dedication. John joined the board in 2013 and has brought a wealth of wisdom and experience in his time with us. Marian, Andrew and John’s passion for the MJF and love for the people of Vanuatu have kept this foundation on a clear and stable course. We thank you all for giving so much of yourselves to the work of the foundation and will miss your encouragement and support.

Looking ahead, we are excited to welcome Jarrod Lundie and Leiha Astall to our board, taking over financial responsibilities from Andrew and Marian.

Jarrod is proud to be joining a team that’s helping create real, lasting change in Vanuatu through better access to health care and education and brings important financial insights to the board, ensuring the MJF can continue to be sustainable in its mission for years to come.

Leiha has a strong background in office management and financial administration, with several years experience in the allied health sector. She is honoured to serve the MJF as a way of paying forward the support that helped shape her own life, and to honour the legacy at the heart of the foundation.

We continue our dedication and passionate service to the people of Vanuatu and appreciate the support and generous sponsorship that our regular donors, our event sponsors, our government partners and our industry partners provide to enable us to continue our support of health and education in Vanuatu into the future.

Vanuatu needs us, and we remain thankful for your commitment to us and to the people of Vanuatu.
